Palo Santo ~ Guidance
What is Palo Santo?
Palo Santo is a wild tree that grows on the coast of South America. In Spanish, the name Palo Santo literally translates to “Holy Wood.” It is a part of the citrus family, as well as sweet scents of pine, mint, and lemon. Similar to the concept of Sage and smudging, Palo Santo is energetically cleansing and healing. From centuries ago to current modern day, the Indigenous people of the Andes have been using Palo Santo for spiritual purification and cleansing purposes. Below are a few of the many benefits there are to burning Palo Santo:
- Cleanses and purifies energy
- Inspires creativity
- Energetic protection
- Brings about good fortune
- Brings about a deeper connection to Earth and consciousness
- Relieves anxiety, depression, emotional trauma through its therapeutic aroma
- Relieves headaches and tension
- Wards of insects
And much more!
Our Palo Santo is harvested under government supervision by the Natives of the Peruvian jungle. No trees are destroyed in the collection of the wood; only trees and branches that have naturally fallen on the ground are collected to be made into these shapes so that we can enjoy their purifying energy in our homes!
How to use:
To cleanse, heal, or bless with Palo Santo, light the tip of the stick by holding a flame for 10-20 seconds. Once lit, blow out the flame till you're only left with smoke. Keep in mind, you will need to relight the stick a few times throughout the ritual as it burns for a few seconds to a minute. Wave the smoke into all corners of your space, your body, or desired areas. To maintain a cleansing ritual, repeat desired affirmations or intentions in your mind as you diffuse the smoke. Once you've covered the desired space in smoke, allow the stick to either burn out on its own or gently press it out in your heat-proof shell or container.
Dimensions: 4 inches
Note: Due to this being a natural product, all sticks will vary in size compared to the picture, but all orders will have the same weight in grams.
